Position Summary:
Our growing Home Care organization is looking for an energetic, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to help us grow our presence across St. Louis County. This is a community-facing role built for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people, building trust, and making connections that matter. You will be the face of Executive Home Care in the community — opening doors, nurturing relationships, and helping families find the care their loved ones deserve.

This is an exciting ground-floor opportunity with a growing, mission-driven small business. You’ll work closely with ownership and have real visibility into how the business operates and grows.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a natural connector — someone who walks into a room and immediately starts building relationships. Prior sales or business development experience is helpful, but passion for the mission and genuine warmth with people matters more to us.

  • Outgoing, personable, and confident in representing a brand in community settings.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own schedule, priorities, and follow-through without close supervision.
  • Strong verbal communication skills — comfortable presenting, networking, and having meaningful one-on-one conversations.
  • Genuine interest in senior care and the well-being of seniors, adults with disabilities and their families.
  • Organized and consistent — able to track contacts, follow up reliably, and maintain relationships over time.
  • Familiarity with the St. Louis County community, senior living landscape, or healthcare referral ecosystem is a significant plus.
  • Experience in home care, healthcare, senior living, social work, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Valid Missouri driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Essential Functions:
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior living communities, assisted living facilities, independent living communities, and memory care facilities throughout St. Louis County.
  • Develop and grow referral partnerships with discharge planners, social workers, hospital case managers, physicians’ offices, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Represent Executive Home Care at community networking events, chamber of commerce events, senior expos, and health fairs.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits to referral partner locations to stay top of mind and educate staff on our services and care options.
  • Collaborate with ownership to develop outreach strategies, track referral activity, and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Assist in developing marketing materials, presentations, and community education content that reflects our brand and mission.
  • Maintain a consistent presence on social media and in the community to build brand awareness for EHC of Central St. Louis County.
  • Track activity, referral sources, and pipeline using CRM tools and provide regular updates to ownership.
Role Development:
Role will begin as a part time (30 hour week) 90 day exploratory period. Decision will be made to move to full time hours/salary after that period.
Compensation: $30.00 per hour

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.
